It should be noted however that these descriptions are for guidance only and are not meant as a replacement for a map and compass accompanied by the knowledge of how to use them. It is recommended that you use a 1:25,000 scale map of the area either from the OS or Harvey's maps; this should be backed up by a good quality guide book of which there are many.

1) Scafell Pike via Brown Tongue ( with Corridor Route shown)

2) Kirkfell

Difficulty: Moderate (but very steep!)

Time approx 3.5 hours
