Hi Wasdale Web

On Sunday 31st July we - Colin , Lorraine and our children(Clara 10, Emma 8,
Charlotte 7) walked from Greendale up to Middle Fell, then around Greendale
tarn and along the beck back down to Greendale .

Not the most difficult climb for most - but it was our first mountain
summit. Not the highest of fells in Wasdale - but the view from the top is
amazing. It took 5 hours instead of 2 quoted in the guide books (lots of
stops for photos, drinks, picking up stones as kids do, and a great picnic).
Best of all the girls loved it and were eager to tackle our next mountain -
Catbells by Derwent Water which we climbed on Bank Holiday Monday!

Cheers
Lorraine
