The Old Barn:
A Two Bedroomed Cottage sleeping 2 to 4 persons

A fine spacious cottage made from one of our barns 5 years ago, keeping the character of the Old Barn, with a comfortable approach to holidaying in the country.

Downstairs, the front door opens to a large open plan sitting room with kitchen and dining area. The room has a wood burning stove, TV and DVD player.  The kitchen area is fully furnished with cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer, washer-drier, iron and plenty of storage space. Upstairs there are two bedrooms - one with a double bed, the other with adult sized bunks. The bathroom has a bath, WC and basin. The cottage has central heating throughout fed from an oil boiler. Well-behaved Pets are welcome by prior consent.

Stable End
A Three Bedroomed Cottage sleeping 4 to 6 persons

Stable End was converted from one of Woodhow Farm's Barns 5 years ago. Previously, in days gone by, the farm workhorses were housed here after a hard day’s work on the land.

Description

The room has a wood burning stove for those cosy evenings beside a roaring fire, and built into the ‘old slot’ is a window seat for those just wanting to sit and read a good novel. There is also TV and DVD player. The kitchen area is fully furnished with cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer, washer-drier, iron and plenty of storage space. Upstairs there are two bedrooms - one with a double bed, the other with two singles. Downstairs is another bedroom with ensuite bathroom and twin beds. The bathroom is fully fitted with bath, sink and WC. The cottage has central heating throughout fed from an oil boiler. Well-behaved Pets are welcome by prior consent

High House Cottage

High House is a 300High House is a 300-year-old country home nestled high on an escarpment over looking the Eskdale Valley.  High House has a secluded garden with adjoining private 8-acre wood, which leads down to the Irt River that flows from Wastwater Lake to the sea at Ravenglass once an ancient Roman port.  The property sits on the edge of the village of Holmrook and within the Lake District with rolling rural farming open countryside just inland from the West Cumbria coast.  High House boasts of panoramic views of Harter Fell and surrounding fells at the head of the Eskdale Valley.  We would like your stay with us to be as comfortable as you are at home (if not more so).  Our three rooms (two double and one king size) are thoughtfully styled, luxuriously furnished and generously equipped. We try to include everything in your room that you might want or need.

Headfield Cottage : Nether Wasdale

Headfield Cottage is an 18th century detached property with 2 bedrooms sleeping 4/6 persons, attractive south facing garden and lovely views up to the Wasdale fells.  It is very conveniently situated in the heart of the village, which boasts a handful of houses, a Church and 2 pubs (The Strands and The Screes,  both providing excellent food and real ale).It is one mile from Wastwater and surrounded by open countryside.

Today Littleground House joined the WasdleWeb

Little Ground House is a large Victorian house, built for a “Statesman Farmer” after the adjoining cottage and barn became too small for his family.

It has magnificent views towards the Wastwater Screes and views up the valley to Scafell and Great Gable.

Equidistant from the village of Gosforth and the head of the valley, it is ideally placed to explore the delights of the Western Lakes by car or the Wasdale valley on foot.
